This is also our Peanut Butter Sunday when we contribute to Helping Neighbors Food Pantry.

Opportunities to volunteer at Helping Neighbors Food Pantry have expanded. Our Fellowship is now helping every week on Tuesdays from 5-7 PM. Please contact Norman Stafford to be scheduled.
Another way to support the Food Pantry is through FEED THE NEED when you shop at Kroger, Hay’s, or Harps. Take off a ticket or two at checkout. All of FEED THE NEED contributions goes to the pantry.
This Sunday’s Address will be Why Join a UU congregation, presented by Betty Stafford. There will be a joining ceremony for New Members. Services will be followed by our 3rd Sunday Potluck. This Sunday also marks the end of our fund drive DOLLARS FOR KNOWLEDGE if you have not yet contributed.

Our Annual Flower Ceremony will be celebrated. You are invited to bring a flower or plant to assemble a congregational bouquet. We encourage you to bring something from your yard or inside your home that you did not spend money on. Purchased flowers are welcome too. The emphasis is on sharing not showing. Heirloom garden seeds are also often shared. Join us to relive this ritual of years ago.
Also on the first Sunday of each month we accept donations of personal hygiene products for the Children’s Shelter of Walnut Ridge.

Next Sunday will be potluck and our annual “Love and Chocolate” ceremony. This is a time we share poetry, music and art that has personal meaning to us. Please be thinking of writings, art work, or a song to share that expresses love. Bring your musical instruments, a favorite song on CD, art work, poetry, or story to share.
The chocolate ritual will be during the 10:00 AM service (before the coffee time. PS milk chocolate and dark chocolate will be provided). The sharing will be after the coffee time. Please bring food to share for the 12:00 PM potluck.

Dr. Cherisse Jones-Branch, Associate Professor of History, will speak on her book Crossing the Line: Women’s Interracial Activism in South Carolina during and after World War II, which won the 2014 Letita Woods Brown Book Award from the Association of Black Women Historians for the best book for a junior scholar in African American’s history.
The second Sunday is Peanut Butter Sunday, when we are asked to remember the needs of our neighbors at the Food Pantry.
Also Sunday is the last chance this month to donate personal hygiene products for the Children’s Shelter.
